A key part of the manifesto is based around product substitution: “Our industry can provide climate-friendly substitutes to fossil-based, carbon-intensive products currently on the market, potentially creating a multiplier effect through our expertise in the circular economy”.

Cepi demand SUPD reconsideration

Cepi, supported by Pro Carton and other trade associations, have written to 73 leading members of the European Parliament to urge reconsideration of the scope of the Single Use Plastics Directive which currently includes polymer coated boards.

Important SUP letter sent to EU Commission

Pro Carton along with a coalition of 5 European paper & board based packaging Associations and five National Associations have written a joint letter to Mr Frans Timmermans, EVP of the European Green Deal and Mr Viginijus Sinkevičius, Environment Commissioner, at the European Commission, regarding the (ill conceived) potential damage to our industry that could be caused by the Single Use Plastics Directive (SUPD).
