Young and vibrant: Pro Carton Design Awards 2012

The relaunch of the International Pro Carton Design Award after a break of four years proved highly successful. Nearly 70 entries from eight European countries showed significantly higher professionalism and fantastic, well-thought out concepts. The winners were two customer-oriented projects: "Pocket Aid", an innovative packaging for plasters, and "Cupholder" for use in cars.

The finalists of the Pro Carton/ECMA Award 2012!

We can already present the finalists of the 16. Pro Carton/ECMA Awards. This year was the first time that entries were not limited to members of Pro Carton but were open to everyone in the supply chain – designers, manufacturers, the trade and brand owners. As a result, the finalists include prominent participants such as the brand "Yes. Naturally" Green Packaging (REWE) and designers such as Bandke Consulting or the Agency Bamberg. The winners will be presented on 20 September at the ECMA-Congress in Copenhagen. Do you have a favourite?

Creativity wherever you look: Award ceremony of the 16. Pro Carton/ECMA Award

The annual Pro Carton/ECMA Award is one of the most distinguished awards in its category, and is now in its 16th year. The award honours packaging which has proven itself on the market. For the first time, the competition was open to all partners of the supply chain: cartonboard and carton manufacturers, designers, brand owners and the retail trade. The awards were presented on 20. September 2012 at the ECMA Congress in Copenhagen. The Carton of the Year award went to the champagne packaging Taittinger Rose Lens by Van Genechten.

Call for entries: Pro Carton/ECMA Award 2012

New: as of now the Pro Carton/ECMA Award is open to all partners in the supply chain - entries from the cartonboard and carton industry, as well as designers, manufacturers of branded products and the retail trade are welcome. After all, each member of the supply chain adds its contribution to the design of successful packaging.

The International Pro Carton Design Award honours new, as yet not realised design ideas in cartonboard applications, and is open to students. Participation is free of charge. The official closing date is 5. February 2012 – anyone who has not quite completed his/her project can arrange for a brief time extension with Pro Carton.

Pro Carton/ECMA Award 2011: interest keeps growing

In 2011, companies from 15 European countries participated in the Pro Carton/ECMA Awards. At 114 entries, the number of entered packaging concepts was the second highest ever. The finalists will be announced during the ECMA Congress in Barcelona from 14. - 17. September 2011, and together with the finalists, the winners will be honoured at the Pro Carton Congress in Düsseldorf in the spring of 2012.
