Nature – a blueprint for success

Mag. Martina Hörmer has been responsible for Rewe Group Austria’s own brands since 2002. In this function her prime responsibility has been the management of the “Ja! Natürlich” brand, probably the most successful European brand in terms of bio-marketing (Ja! Natürlich = Yes! Naturally). Richard Dalgleish

At the age of 62, Richard Dalgleish has decided to take a step towards retirement and will relinquish his present position. He has run Pro Carton for nearly 10 years now and now feels it is a good time to pass on operational responsibility to Suzanne McEwen, the Head of Marketing and Communications, and Jennifer Buhaenko, the Head of Public Affairs.

Brief Interview with Öystein Aksnes, President of CEPI Cartonboard

Öystein Aksnes has been appointed as President of CEPI Cartonboard, the Association that brings together most of the cartonboard manufacturers in Europe and also some from the USA. After spending much of his career at former MoDo-group and Iggesund Paperboard, Oystein joined Stora Enso in 2008 and currently operates as Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Carton Board. Ask the Expert: Ecodesign

In the first issue of the new series "Ask the Expert" Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Wimmer answered questions by Pro Carton members. Wimmer is professor at the Technical University Vienna and founder and managing partner of the Ecodesign Company Engineering & Management Consultancy GmbH located in Vienna, Seoul and Ottawa. Global decision makers: Corporate Responsibility is becoming more and more important

The Consumer Goods Forum recently released its latest Top of Mind Survey, which reveals the priorities of 345 key decision-makers in global retail and consumer goods companies across 46 countries. Priorities for the consumer goods industry: Companies continue to fight effects of the financial crisis, yet refuse to put social and environmental responsibilities on the back burner.

Gold Medal for Mike Clark

Pro Carton was delighted to hear that its former President Mike Clark has been awarded the Paper Industry Gold medal for 2010. This is a well established award made each year by the British Paper Industry to one individual. The award is made to "People with foresight, a real understanding of the industry and, above all, a passion for their subject". Pro Carton is delighted that Mike’s contribution to the paper and board industry has been recognised in this way and join many other in offering their congratulations to him.
