What to Expect at the Gala
Hosted alongside the European Carton Makers Association (ECMA) Congress, this year’s Awards Gala promises to be another unforgettable evening of recognition, inspiration, and a celebration of ECMA’s 65th anniversary. Our theme for 2025 is “Folding cartons – the future is bright“. This theme emphasizes the bright future of the European carton industry with the latest concepts and talents.
Celebrating Excellence Across Categories
We are proud to be recognizing the very best in cartonboard packaging across three different awards:
– European Carton Excellence Award (ECEA): Highlighting exceptional carton packaging solutions from across Europe that combine sustainability, functionality, and creativity. The most prestigious in cartonboard packaging, acknowledging and rewarding the very best in ecological packaging design.
– Pro Carton Young Designers Award (PCYDA): Showcasing the next generation of packaging designers who are pushing the boundaries of creativity with sustainable design concepts. The award plays a pioneering role in promoting sustainable packaging and innovation amongst students across Europe.
– Pro Carton Student Video Award (PCSVA): Celebrating outstanding short films created by students that highlight the value of cartonboard packaging and the need for sustainability in today’s world. Cartons and cartonboard are part of our daily lives and are the most economically and ecologically balanced packaging medium thus bringing many stories.
