For the Claber Lancia Pro 8535 spray nozzle, a fully cartonboard packaging solution was developed to replace the previous mixed-material format of cardboard and thermoformed plastic. The objective was clear, eliminate plastic, reduce environmental impact, and deliver a more functional, efficient design. The result is a tailored mono-material blister pack that enhances sustainability and simplifies disposal without compromising product protection or visibility.

The new packaging is perfectly adapted to the spray nozzle’s shape, reducing overall volume by 50% and improving logistics. Integrated locking systems are engineered directly into the cardboard, ensuring product stability during transport and display without the need for plastic inserts or additional fastenings.

A key challenge lay in developing bespoke locking mechanisms for each item in the product line, each with unique dimensions, while maintaining compatibility with industrial production, including automated gluing processes. Despite these complexities, the final design maintains maximum product visibility to support strong shelf impact and consumer appeal.

Standardisation across the entire product range has created a cohesive, recognisable look at point-of-sale. The clean, compact structure meets both aesthetic and environmental goals. Delivering a visually engaging, recyclable solution that reflects Claber’s commitment to innovation, performance, and sustainability in garden care.
