Isn´t it odd, that when you purchase a knife, you need the very same thing to unpack it? Also, the most commonly used packaging is usually made from plastic – and if it´s not, you can´t see the product. For this project, the knife itself is used for stability, the cartonboard fitment holds everything together. The sharp edge doesn’t need to be touched at any point.

In short, this is simply brilliant or brilliantly simple or just genius. A packaging design construction for a knife that not only looks special, holds the knife perfectly securely and yet you can fully see the knife. The creativity and strategic thought that produced this concept, we have rarely seen.
