The experience was very exciting and memorable. It was my first time attending such a large event, and I still enjoy looking back on it. It gave me an inspiring insight into a new world. Although I was quite nervous at first, the welcoming atmosphere made me feel comfortable, and it seemed like everyone had a great time.
The greatest benefit for me was stepping out of my comfort zone and diving into new experiences. From developing and designing a packaging solution to traveling, attending the gala, meeting industry experts as well as other designers, and gaining insight into the scale and impact of the industry—it was all very enriching. Taking in so many new impressions was both inspiring and valuable for my growth.
I would absolutely recommend the PCYDA to anyone passionate about design and eager to bring a packaging idea to life. The experience is very valuable, offering deep insights into the industry while fostering personal and professional growth. It’s a unique opportunity to challenge yourself, gain new perspectives, and develop your skills in a supportive and inspiring environment.
After the experience in Berlin, I felt much more relaxed and was able to enjoy the training days even more. I appreciated the opportunity to connect with the other attendees and felt very welcomed by both Van Genechten and Umka.
What made the trip especially exciting was not only visiting cities I hadn’t been to before but especially gaining a deeper understanding of the industry through factory tours and expert sessions. The scale and complexity of what I saw were truly impressive. A highlight for me was receiving direct feedback from the experts—it was both insightful and motivating.
Thanks to Pro Carton’s organization, I could fully focus on the experience without worrying about logistics, which made the trip even more enjoyable.
