SATKAR GIDDA
Consultant for branding and design, Chair of the jury
Satkar Gidda studied Business Studies and Marketing and has worked 7 years in Sales, Trade Marketing and Brand Marketing for RHM Foods and Nestle followed by 30 years as Sales & Marketing Director of SiebertHead, the longest established brand and packaging design consultancy in the UK. Since March 2020, Satkar operates as an independent consultant.
HEIDI VANSPAUWEN
Marketing & Communications Director at Van Genechten Packaging.
With more than 25 years of experience in the packaging industry, I serve as the Marketing & Communications Director at Van Genechten Packaging.
My primary focus is on transforming our company’s purpose into strategic initiatives that promote creative, innovative and sustainable packaging solutions, inspiring our customers, partners and people to think differently.
Key to this role is communicating effectively, both externally and internally, to engage our stakeholders and reinforce our commitment to collaborate and deliver guidance.
As a packaging enthusiast and advocate for responsible design, I am really looking forward to the creative insights and fresh perspectives that young designers will bring to the PCYDA competition 2024!
LOTTE KREKELS
Packaging Manager, Carrefour Belgium
Involved in packaging with over 25 years of relevant experience and a passion for all different facets of packaging of perishables: from graphics to strategy, technics, durability, safety and regulatory compliance.
Head of the packaging department at Carrefour Belgium and responsible for the development and implementation of a long term packaging vision for Carrefour Belgium’s private label.
Translating ideas into renewable and sustainable packaging solutions for the end consumer.
JENS UHLMANN
Innovation Director BU B+PC, MM Packaging
Jens brings over 30 years of experience in the packaging industry, with deep expertise in building customer relationships and professional networks. As Innovation Director BU B+PC at MM Packaging (MM Group), he plays a key role in driving innovative solutions through strategic networking and key account development.
SANJEEV DAS
Unilever, Global Packaging Director in the Foods and Ice Cream business
Sanjeev studied packaging engineering and currently works with Unilever as Global Packaging Director in the Foods and Ice Cream business. He has some 20 years diverse experience across different business categories in consumer products and the healthcare industry. He is a strong advocate for experiential packaging via a synthesis of design, sustainable materials, technology, and partnerships.
Impressions from the Judges PCYDA Meeting in 2025
Over 950 cartonboard designs were entered for the 2025 Pro Carton Young Designers Award.
Deciding on the best was not an easy task for our expert judges. However, they were delighted at the passion put into the designs of 2025.
