Practical Training Days
Winners and their teachers will be invited to the PCYDA Awards Gala which takes place in Europe each September.
Winners will be announced on all Pro Carton media channels and shared with key industry press in September after the Awards Gala.
The main prize for 2026 will be a two-day all expenses paid trip to visit one of European’s leading converters and manufacturers. During the trip, students will get a behind-the-scenes look at the cartonboard lifecycle from start to finish. Students will meet with experts and receive critical feedback on their winning designs and have countless networking opportunities.
In the 2025 Pro Carton Young Designers Award (PCYDA) competition, the 3 category winners travelled to Belgium and the Netherlands in November 2025 for the Practical Training Days. They visited the world-class manufacturing sites of Van Genechten Packaging and FOLBB Group who were also sponsors of the 2025 Award.
The winners met some of the leaders in the cartonboard industry, they learned first-hand about cartonboard and the industry, about creating sustainable packaging for leading brands, networked among the best, gained priceless insights into packaging expertise and were exposed to exclusive industry processes – definitely something to add to their lifetime experience and to their CVs!
We would like to thank Van Genechten Packaging and FOLBB Group once again for their sponsorship of the PCYDA 2025 and for organising such an unforgettable experience for the winners.
