About Umka:
Umka Cardboard Mill boasts a rich tradition that dates back to 1939, when it was established with the goal of producing cardboard and chipboard. Today, we are a well-recognized leader in the production of chromo-board, both in the domestic market and in the region, supported by a highly developed infrastructure and cutting-edge technologies.
For over five decades, we have been utilizing waste paper as a resource instead of pulp, making us the largest recycler of waste paper in Serbia. We produce cardboard that has a wide range of applications in the manufacture of packaging for the food and confectionery industries, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, tobacco, textiles, the automotive industry, as well as for the spare parts sector in machinery manufacturing. Our cardboard is also used for lamination in the production of transport packaging. The cardboard is produced and delivered in sheets or rolls, depending on customer requirements. The production process takes place on a paper machine with a working width of 320 cm.
Currently, the Mill operates with a production capacity of approximately 220,000 tons annually, with plans for growth to 250,000 tons, driven by completed investments and ongoing development plans.
Our product range includes the production of chromo-board (“white-lined chipboard”) in the following grades:
