Pro Carton Elects New Board of Directors for 2026–2029

During the 2026 General Assembly, Pro Carton members elected the organisation’s Board of Directors for a three-year term, which will run until the 2029 General Assembly.

In accordance with the Pro Carton Statutes, the Board consists of representatives from across the European cartonboard and carton industry, including representation from smaller and mid-sized member companies. The newly elected Board will help guide Pro Carton’s strategic direction and activities over the coming years.

The following individuals have been elected to the Pro Carton Board of Directors:

• Michele Bianchi – RDM Group
• Andreas Birmoser – Stora Enso
• Andreas Boo – Holmen Board and Paper
• Nick Dowling – Smurfit Westrock
• Esa Kaikkonen – Metsä Board
• Alexander Loimayr – MM Board & Paper
• Kemal Özkirim – Kartonsan
• Nikola Pejovic – Umka
• Jean-François Roche – Graphic Packaging International

The General Assembly also elected the Board’s officers for the 2026–2029 term:

• President: Andreas Birmoser (Stora Enso)
• Vice-President: Alexander Loimayr (MM Board & Paper)

Pro Carton congratulates all elected directors and looks forward to working with the new Board as they continue to support the organisation’s mission of promoting cartonboard and folding cartons as sustainable, renewable and circular packaging solutions across Europe.

The terms of office for the President, Vice-President and all Directors will conclude at the General Assembly in 2029.
