| Text | The International Pro Carton Design Award honours new, as yet not realised design ideas in cartonboard applications, and is open to students. Participation is free of charge. The official closing date is 5. February 2012 – anyone who has not quite completed his/her project can arrange for a brief time extension with Pro Carton. | |||
The awards will be presented during the Pro Carton Congress at the Award Party, together with the presentation of the Pro Carton ECMA Awards on 18. April 2012 at the Congress Center in Düsseldorf – alle winners are cordially invited, travel costs will be borne by Pro Carton. Additional prizes include a practical training week at a European packaging design agency and practical days at a leading company in the cartonboard and carton industry. Winners and nominees will be highlighted in the Pro Carton E-news as well as numerous press releases to the trade media in the supply chain. The objective of the competition is to discover so far unrealised solutions and designs in the field of cartons throughout Europe, to present them to the public and possibly to realise them. The European competition takes place for third time in 2012. For the first time the competition is being held without national pre-selections and for the whole of Europe - East and West - in the two categories "Carton Packaging" and "Other Cartonboard Applications" (i.e. direct mail, displays/ P.O.S materials).
