Pro Carton a r\u00e9cemment entrepris une \u00e9tude qui compare non seulement les donn\u00e9es publi\u00e9es sur l'empreinte carbone par tonne de mat\u00e9riau, mais qui examine \u00e9galement l'empreinte carbone par unit\u00e9.  Quatre produits ont \u00e9t\u00e9 compar\u00e9s, l'un dans un emballage principalement en plastique et l'autre en carton, pour trois produits alimentaires et un article non alimentaire.  Les r\u00e9sultats sont tr\u00e8s favorables au carton, m\u00eame si l'on se contente de comparer les \u00e9missions respectives de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre d'origine fossile.
