J'ai \u00e9t\u00e9 horrifi\u00e9e de lire une \u00e9tude allemande r\u00e9cente selon laquelle une contamination par des microplastiques a \u00e9t\u00e9 trouv\u00e9e dans les 24 marques de bi\u00e8re test\u00e9es, ainsi que dans le miel et le sucre. Voil\u00e0 pour les lois allemandes sur la puret\u00e9 (Reinheitsgebot) qui stipulent que la bi\u00e8re ne peut \u00eatre fabriqu\u00e9e qu'\u00e0 partir de trois ingr\u00e9dients : l'orge, le houblon et l'eau !<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pro Carton pr\u00e9conise depuis un certain temps que les propri\u00e9taires de marques utilisent des mat\u00e9riaux durables plut\u00f4t que des mat\u00e9riaux non durables chaque fois qu'ils le peuvent et accueille favorablement les mesures fortes visant \u00e0 encourager l'utilisation de mat\u00e9riaux d'emballage v\u00e9ritablement durables. L'Union europ\u00e9enne est sur le point de publier sa strat\u00e9gie en mati\u00e8re de plastique, tandis que le gouvernement britannique a annonc\u00e9 qu'il envisageait de taxer certains emballages en plastique. Un rapide coup d'\u0153il dans les rayons d'un supermarch\u00e9 permet de constater que de nombreuses marques utilisent des emballages en plastique alors qu'elles pourraient utiliser des cartons. Des sachets de th\u00e9 aux piles, en passant par les boissons en packs multiples et la papeterie, sans oublier les produits alimentaires, il existe une multitude de produits qui pourraient \u00eatre conditionn\u00e9s dans des emballages plus \u00e9cologiques et r\u00e9duire ou \u00e9liminer la quantit\u00e9 de plastique utilis\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Il est encourageant de constater que notre message commence clairement \u00e0 \u00eatre soutenu par d'autres parties influentes. Andy Clarke, ancien PDG d'Asda, a r\u00e9cemment appel\u00e9 \u00e0 des mesures fortes dans le journal The Guardian en d\u00e9clarant que \"la seule solution \u00e9tait que les d\u00e9taillants rejettent enti\u00e8rement le plastique en faveur d'alternatives plus durables comme le papier, l'acier, le verre et l'aluminium\". De m\u00eame, Louise Edge, de Greenpeace, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que le gouvernement pourrait \"innover pour sortir de ce g\u00e2chis en encourageant les alternatives durables au plastique\".<\/p>\n<p>Il n'est peut-\u00eatre pas inutile de rappeler \u00e0 tous, et en particulier \u00e0 ceux qui ne font pas partie de l'industrie du carton, que l'all\u00e8gement ou m\u00eame le recyclage ne suffisent pas \u00e0 assurer la durabilit\u00e9. Pour qu'un emballage soit durable (veuillez v\u00e9rifier la d\u00e9finition du dictionnaire), il doit \u00eatre renouvelable. Le plastique durable est, tout simplement, un non-sens. Les cartons sont non seulement renouvelables, mais aussi enti\u00e8rement recyclables et biod\u00e9gradables. Ils sont donc v\u00e9ritablement durables et illustrent parfaitement le principe de l'\u00e9conomie circulaire.<\/p>\n<p>Pour nous aider \u00e0 diffuser notre message, nous avons charg\u00e9 une agence de relations publiques, Storm Communications, de travailler dans toute l'Europe et elle commence d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e0 obtenir une bonne couverture dans diverses publications sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9es et sur les m\u00e9dias sociaux.<\/p>\n<p>Les propri\u00e9taires de marques avant-gardistes sont certainement d\u00e9j\u00e0 en train de revoir leurs propres strat\u00e9gies environnementales en vue d'utiliser des emballages plus renouvelables et recyclables avant que les consommateurs ne s'opposent \u00e0 l'utilisation non essentielle du plastique.
