Juni 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0cm;\"><em><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">Das EU-Parlament hat gestern ein sehr ehrgeiziges, aber realistisches Ziel f\u00fcr die Menge an CO2, die die europ\u00e4ischen W\u00e4lder aus der Atmosph\u00e4re entfernen sollen, angenommen. Das Ziel kann nur erreicht werden, wenn wir unsere W\u00e4lder an die Bedrohungen des Klimawandels anpassen und ihr j\u00e4hrliches Wachstum steigern, auch durch Aufforstung. Die Gesetzgeber lehnten auch einen Vorschlag ab, den land- und forstwirtschaftlichen Sektor in der vorgelegten \u00dcberarbeitung der Verordnung \u00fcber Landnutzung, Landnutzungs\u00e4nderung und Forstwirtschaft (LULUCF) zusammenzufassen. Damit sollte sichergestellt werden, dass die W\u00e4lder nicht zum Ausgleich von Emissionen aus der Landwirtschaft genutzt werden, die bekannterma\u00dfen ein schwer zu dekarbonisierender Sektor ist.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 12.0pt 0cm;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: #333333;\">Die Abstimmung \u00fcber die LULUCF-Verordnung war ein positives Zeichen f\u00fcr die Rolle der Forstwirtschaft bei der Abschw\u00e4chung des Klimawandels, da betont wurde, dass die W\u00e4lder nicht zu einem Instrument f\u00fcr andere Sektoren, insbesondere die Landwirtschaft, werden sollten, um unzureichende Emissionsreduzierungen auszugleichen. Cepi, der Dachverband der europ\u00e4ischen Papier- und Zellstoffindustrie, begr\u00fc\u00dft diese Entscheidung. Die Integration von Forst- und Landwirtschaft in den LULUCF-Sektor h\u00e4tte wahrscheinlich den gr\u00f6\u00dften Teil der Last zur Erreichung der Klimaneutralit\u00e4t im neuen kombinierten Sektor auf die W\u00e4lder verlagert, der manchmal mit dem Akronym AFOLU f\u00fcr Landwirtschaft, Forstwirtschaft und andere Landnutzung bezeichnet wird.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; background: white; margin: 0cm 0cm 12.0pt 0cm;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: #333333;\"><strong>Die Mitglieder des Parlaments unterst\u00fctzten auch den Vorschlag der EU-Kommission, bis 2030 einen Nettoabbau von 310 Millionen Tonnen CO2-\u00c4quivalenten zu erreichen. <\/strong> Dieses sehr ehrgeizige Ziel w\u00fcrde von den unter die LULUCF-Verordnung fallenden Sektoren verlangen, dass sie die derzeitige kohlenstoffsenkende Wirkung von Wald in weniger als 10 Jahren um zus\u00e4tzliche 42 Millionen Tonnen CO2 erh\u00f6hen. Dieses neue Ziel k\u00f6nnte nur erreicht werden, wenn Praktiken zur Klimaanpassung, die sich aus der aktiven Waldbewirtschaftung ergeben, politisch unterst\u00fctzt werden. <a href=\"http:\/\/link.mediaoutreach.meltwater.com\/ls\/click?upn=lDSJLz7Iw-2FiljaLRNub2fbOpkRMtJ4p8Hd9cfcAQIuMUpOFSh6tFvFhjAh0uxNv8Yf7rZUGP3GXiP-2BZL6iKsmgPyK4PFP9g-2B52mQfI9d22n-2BEInU49EVw2nG8RSPZDhaEkOiOXh6NnYGbcvh77Mk8w-3D-3D6HZY_bNxJTe9T90Yb6pAY54Q-2BuQ9qi8Svu-2Fha7Bp2y8oz3t6VCHChlAs8OekYPQTQH-2FqcUhiXJQ6pG6na6G4WY00BcHZWeKRrKqc3GGE4dI-2Ft3yvxDOqr-2FfKOErF9J2ou2gP6EXRj9kU6xPZHqixWvLhhEjrIYYBjCv5P22KBlJDunwIcwUuJ5EqjPyoEmusYhX3S087Ql-2B6lJWFiolSikNF9o7RYaTxxnukrrRJDCFZvC3SkbhYevYxkWFLHr-2Bxg6TI4zE8aodSphehVDlL9UBjUPQzOtgupUo1wxbEqjf7swugW15c9QbFizwRdVYoX4c6V-2FtmZRff3Vns1GjO7u0GPvM1SUfvCP8-2B-2Fow-2BnU8z3m0zbvyHv9MvbXakfe0BpdvYX\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Der von Cepi vertretene Papiersektor hat sich nicht nur verpflichtet, die bestehenden W\u00e4lder zu sch\u00fctzen, sondern auch das EU-Ziel zu unterst\u00fctzen, bis 2030 3 Milliarden zus\u00e4tzliche B\u00e4ume zu pflanzen.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; background: white; margin: 0cm 0cm 12.0pt 0cm;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: #333333;\">Ein weiterer Aspekt der Anrechnung von Kohlenstoff aus W\u00e4ldern, \u00fcber den das Parlament abgestimmt hat, ist die M\u00f6glichkeit, bestimmte Produktkategorien als vor\u00fcbergehende M\u00f6glichkeiten der Kohlenstoffspeicherung zu betrachten. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: #333333;\">Die Wertsch\u00f6pfungskette der Waldfaser- und Papierindustrie erforscht bereits neue Gesch\u00e4ftsmodelle, die auf solchen biogenen Kohlenstoffkreisl\u00e4ufen basieren. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: black; background: white;\">Leider hat das Parlament bei seiner Abstimmung diese Kategorien nur auf \"langlebige\" Produkte beschr\u00e4nkt, es wurde verabs\u00e4umt, <strong>die Gelegenheit zu nutzen, um den Grad der Dauerhaftigkeit der Lagerung anzuerkennen, der durch traditionellere Papier- und Zellstoffprodukte, auch durch deren Recycling, erreicht werden kann.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; background: white; margin: 0cm 0cm 12.0pt 0cm;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: #333333;\">Zellstoff- und Papierprodukte sind nicht nur Kohlenstoffspeicher, sondern reduzieren auch die Emissionen, indem sie fossile Produkte in einer Reihe strategischer Sektoren wie Bauwesen, Textilien oder Verpackung ersetzen. Solche <strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">Substitutionseffekte<\/span><\/strong><\/span><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: black; background: white;\"> erm\u00f6glichen derzeit eine Reduzierung der EU-Emissionen um 410 Mio. Tonnen CO2-\u00c4quivalent pro Jahr<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: black; background: white;\"> durch den Ersatz von fossilen oder CO2-intensiven Materialien durch holzbasierte Produkte. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 12.0pt 0cm;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: #333333;\">Schlie\u00dflich best\u00e4tigte die Abstimmung die Einf\u00fchrung detaillierter, die biologische Vielfalt betreffender Ziele in die bestehenden Vorschriften.
