Ein noch nicht offiziell ver\u00f6ffentlichter Entwurf, \u00fcber den in den Medien berichtet wurde, hat bei den Papierverpackungsverb\u00e4nden, darunter Pro Carton, gro\u00dfe Besorgnis ausgel\u00f6st.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Der Entwurf der Strategie enth\u00e4lt mehrere wichtige Punkte, die Anlass zur Sorge geben:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>das Risiko, dass sie isoliert und ohne Bezug zu anderen Materialien entwickelt wird, da jede Strategie, die sich auf Kunststoffe konzentriert, unweigerlich einen Dominoeffekt hat<\/li>\n<li>dass die Strategie bereit zu sein scheint, die Entwicklung technischer Innovationen zu Gunsten von Kunststoffen finanziell zu unterst\u00fctzen, obwohl dies schwerwiegende Folgen f\u00fcr die Wettbewerbsf\u00e4higkeit h\u00e4tte, da es den Kunststoffen einen unfairen Vorteil verschaffen w\u00fcrde<\/li>\n<li>und dass die Strategie eine Gelegenheit verpasst zu haben scheint, die Ressourceneffizienz voranzutreiben und bei ihren Bem\u00fchungen um den Aufbau einer kohlenstoffarmen Kreislaufwirtschaft von der Nutzung nicht erneuerbarer Ressourcen abzur\u00fccken<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Pro Carton hat zusammen mit anderen Verb\u00e4nden f\u00fcr Verpackungen aus Papier ein Schreiben an den Ersten Vizepr\u00e4sidenten Frans Timmermans unterzeichnet, in dem wir unsere Bedenken darlegen. In dem Schreiben wurde nachdr\u00fccklich darauf hingewiesen, dass es nachhaltigere Materialien als Kunststoffe gibt und dass die Europ\u00e4ische Kommission Anreize f\u00fcr die Industrie schaffen sollte, um Unternehmen zu ermutigen, bei der Auswahl ihrer Verpackungsmaterialien nachhaltigere erneuerbare Materialien zu w\u00e4hlen.<\/p>\n<p>Im Vereinigten K\u00f6nigreich k\u00fcndigte der Schatzkanzler in seiner Haushaltserkl\u00e4rung eine Konsultation an, die Anfang 2018 stattfinden soll, um zu untersuchen, wie das britische Steuersystem und die Abgaben auf Einweg-Plastikverpackungen den Abfall reduzieren k\u00f6nnten. Dies ist eine besonders interessante Entwicklung, da der Entwurf der EU-Strategie eine m\u00f6gliche Steuer auf Kunststoffe auszuschlie\u00dfen scheint.<\/p>\n<p>Pro Carton unterst\u00fctzt die Entscheidung, strenge Ma\u00dfnahmen zu ergreifen, um einen Wandel herbeizuf\u00fchren, und ermutigt nicht nur die britische Regierung, sondern auch die EU-Kommission, ihren Einfluss geltend zu machen, um sicherzustellen, dass Marken, Einzelh\u00e4ndler und Verbraucher zusammenarbeiten, wenn wir uns einer der gr\u00f6\u00dften \u00f6kologischen Herausforderungen der Gesellschaft stellen.
